From March 11th to 19th, 20 teachers and students from the University of Pahang in Malaysia completed a two - week study and exchange at our school. The school held the closing ceremony of the first phase of the "2024 China - Malaysia Vocational Education Training Group". Datuk Norman Mohamed, the Ambassador of Malaysia to China, and President Yao Guangye attended the ceremony.

During the training period, the teachers and students studied courses such as artificial intelligence data set processing, distributed computing and storage technology machine learning, and intelligent product marketing and service in the School of Integrated Circuits (Artificial Intelligence). The course content was rich and the teaching form was innovative, which was deeply loved by the Malaysian students.

Ambassador Datuk Norman Mohamed said that on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China, the training quotas provided by the Chinese government under the Malaysia - China Youth TVET Training Program were an important gift for Malaysia to cultivate young people in the TVET industry. He sincerely thanked Beijing Polytechnic University for receiving the teachers and students from Malaysia like family. As a school in the first - class of vocational colleges in China, Beijing Polytechnic University has a long - standing history of running schools. He believed that the school would continue to improve the skills and professional knowledge of the teachers and students of the University of Pahang in Malaysia through experienced vocational and technical teaching.

In his speech, Yao Guangye said that the school is a member of the World Federation of Vocational Colleges and a talent training base for countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" in Beijing. The school actively carries out technical and skill training for ASEAN countries to cultivate high - quality local talents urgently needed by ASEAN countries, and has been highly praised by overseas teachers and students. He hoped that taking this training as an opportunity, the universities of China and Malaysia would continuously expand the depth and breadth of cooperation in teacher exchange, student visit, curriculum co - construction, and cooperative research, so as to contribute to the educational exchange and people - to - people exchanges between the two countries.

At the ceremony, Datuk Norman Mohamed and Yao Guangye jointly presented the exchange study completion certificates to the students.

During the training period, Mr. Roslim, the vice - president of the University of Pahang in Malaysia, and a delegation of six people visited our school to see the students of the training group studying in our school. Malaysia, as an important country along the "Belt and Road Initiative", has maintained good diplomatic relations with China in recent years, and people - to - people exchanges have been frequent. Especially in the field of vocational education, the two countries have a good foundation for cooperation. In 2023, General Secretary Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Anwar reached an important consensus on building a China - Malaysia community with a shared future, drawing a new blueprint for the development of bilateral relations in the new era. This year, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the two countries will also hold a series of exchange activities in various fields. Beijing Polytechnic University will continue to deepen the vocational education cooperation with Malaysian universities, build a bridge of friendship among the youth of the two countries' universities, and promote the people - to - people and heart - to - heart exchanges between the two peoples.
