To further promote international education development and strategically plan for 2025, the university convened a symposium on January 3 for faculty members involved in overseas teaching programs. Vice President Chen Jiangfeng attended the meeting, which aimed to review 2024's overseas operations and chart future directions.

On behalf of the university, Chen Jiangfeng extended gratitude to faculty members who taught in Tunisia. He emphasized that their meticulously prepared courses not only delivered knowledge and skills but also elevated the university's global profile by showcasing traditional Chinese culture. "Your work has sparked Tunisian students' enthusiasm to explore China and deepened cross-cultural bonds," he noted, praising the faculty for building meaningful academic partnerships and enhancing the reputation of the "Study at UESTC" brand—a critical foundation for expanding overseas programs.

In 2024, six faculty members from the School of Integrated Circuits(Artificial Intelligence), School of Economics and Management, and School of General Education were dispatched in rotations to Tunisia's overseas skills training base. At the symposium, they shared teaching achievements, classroom experiences, and cultural insights, with vivid accounts of their pedagogical practices earning heartfelt appreciation from Tunisian colleagues and students. Their efforts fostered authentic cultural exchanges that resonated deeply with both sides.

Looking ahead to 2025, the university plans to elevate its overseas education initiatives by strengthening platforms such as the skills training base, Chinese Language Workshops, and Chinese Proficiency Testing Centers.

The event was also attended by leaders from the Division of Human Resouces Center for Faculty Development, the Division of International Cooperation and Exchange, and deans of the participating schools.
