Over 30 participants from Pakistan, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, and other countries attended the event. In his address, Song Kai extended warm congratulations on the launch of the program and expressed sincere gratitude to the university for its meticulous organization. He highlighted China’s significant advancements in mining, green materials, and sustainable development, emphasizing the country’s commitment to international cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). With approximately 500,000 local employees in overseas nonferrous metals enterprises, this training aims to enhance the management skills of frontline supervisors and technical骨干 (key personnel), fostering cross-cultural exchange and professional growth. Song Kai outlined specific expectations for participants and wished them fruitful learning and lasting friendships.

Vice President Chen Jiangfeng welcomed the international trainees, underscoring the university’s dedication to global education through initiatives like "bringing in and going out" in vocational training. The university hosts over 100 international delegations annually, operates a skills training base in Tunisia, and collaborates with institutions worldwide on curriculum development and research. Chen noted the critical role of nonferrous metals in China’s economy and stressed the need for overseas supervisors to upgrade their managerial competencies to navigate global challenges. This program, he said, is designed to equip them with multidimensional skills to bolster both personal careers and corporate competitiveness.
