Afternoon of May 16, Mr. Vakhob, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Uzbekistan's Renaissance University of Education, led a delegation to visit our university for exchange. President Wang Wei received the delegation, and Vice President Chen Jiangfeng chaired the symposium.

During the symposium, Wang Wei introduced the structure of China's higher education system and the positioning and characteristics of Beijing Polytechnic University as a skills-oriented university. He mentioned in his speech that Beijing Polytechnic University has nearly 70 years of educational history and ranked sixth nationwide in the recently released 2025 SoftChina Vocational Undergraduate University Rankings. The university adheres to the vocational education characteristic of "industry-education integration," is rooted in Yizhuang, keeps pace with industrial development frontiers, offers majors such as intelligent connected vehicles and artificial intelligence, and serves regional economic development. In terms of international education, Wang Wei noted that the university actively responds to the "Belt and Road" Initiative, has established good cooperative relationships with universities in Tunisia, Morocco, Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries, and insists on "accompanying enterprises overseas" to cultivate local employees for enterprises and assist the overseas development of Chinese-funded enterprises such as CITIC Dicastal.

Chairman Vakhob highly praised Beijing Polytechnic University's educational standards and introduced Renaissance University of Education. He mentioned that the university is a higher education institution in Uzbekistan dedicated to providing high-quality education and training. Currently, it has three campuses, offers 34 professional directions, and has over 12,000 enrolled students. During their studies, students learn courses in mathematics, history, philosophy, literature, education, and psychology, and master essential knowledge and skills in international relations, finance, information systems, and other fields. Under the "Belt and Road" Initiative, the university has established good cooperative relationships with Chinese universities such as Xinjiang University. During this visit, he met many Chinese friends while attending the first China-Central Asia Education Ministers' Meeting with the Minister of Education and personally experienced high-level vocational education in Beijing. In the future, he hopes the two sides can deeply cooperate in majors such as mechatronics and new energy vehicles to cultivate skilled talents for Uzbekistan and make more contributions to educational and cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.

After the symposium, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Subsequently, the Renaissance University of Education delegation visited the training bases of School of Aeronautical Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Biological Engineering, and School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
