Recently, the Symposium on Vocational Chinese Learning and Exchange for International Students under the "Going Global with Enterprises - Vocational Chinese Promotion" initiative was held at the Employment and Entrepreneurship Service Base for International Students of the school. This symposium was jointly organized by the General Education College, Division of International Cooperation &Exchange (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs), and the Department of Admissions and Emplleyreet, aiming to understand the Chinese learning situation of international language students, collect their opinions and suggestions on the school's Chinese teaching, improve their Chinese proficiency, and at the same time open up new paths for the school's vocational Chinese teaching and create a better situation for further recruiting international students to study professional courses in our school. Representatives of teachers from the International Chinese Teaching Management Team, Division of International Cooperation &Exchange (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs), the Department of Admissions and Emplleyreet, all students in the International Language Class, members of the School Youth League Committee and Student Union, and student representatives from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the School of Aeronautical Engineering participated in the symposium.

At the symposium, international students shared the development situation of Chinese - funded enterprises in their home countries, the difficulties and challenges they encountered in the process of learning Chinese, and their suggestions and expectations for international Chinese teaching.
Qimuge, a Mongolian student, said that the biggest difficulty he encountered in learning Chinese was the learning of Chinese characters, because the strokes and structures of Chinese characters are completely different from the English letters he is familiar with. He hoped that the school could add some Chinese character writing courses to help them better learn and master Chinese characters.
Another student, You An, from Turkey, said that he hoped the school could provide more language practice opportunities to enable them to use Chinese in real - life work scenarios, so as to better improve their Chinese level.

After listening to the speeches of the international students, the leaders of theDivision of International Cooperation &Exchange (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs) and the teaching team teachers said that they would seriously study the students' suggestions, promote the teaching reform for international students, and at the same time encourage international students to actively learn Chinese to prepare for their future careers.

The holding of this symposium not only helped to understand the difficulties and challenges that international students face in the process of learning Chinese, but also provided valuable reference opinions for the internationalization of the school's vocational education. In the future, our school will make steady progress in the field of vocational Chinese education and teaching, help international students in our school learn Chinese better, lay a solid foundation for their careers, tell the story of Chinese vocational education well, and make due contributions to the "Going Global with Enterprises" initiative of vocational education.
