University Invited to Attend 2024 North Africa-China "Chinese + Vocational Skills" Education Cooperation High-Quality Development Symposium

Wuxi, September 12, 2024 The 2024 North Africa-China "Chinese + Vocational Skills" Education Cooperation High-Quality Development Symposium took place in Wuxi, bringing together key stakeholders in vocational education and international collaboration. Attendees included the President of the North Africa International Education Alliance (Morocco), Wang Yongli (former Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange), Huang Kan (President of the Beijing Education Association for International Exchange), as well as representatives from leading vocational colleges across China, multinational enterprises, and prestigious North African universities. The event coincided with the annual conference of the North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance.Chen Jiangfeng, Vice President of our university, was invited to deliver a keynote speech titled "Bridging Mountains and Seas: Weaving a Shared Dream of China-Africa Youth Connectivity." He highlighted our institutions distinctive educational strengths and international achievements, particularly our deep collaboration with North African countries such as Tunisia and Morocco. Additionally, Vice President Chen presented plaques to deputy director units of the North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance as an awards ceremony guest.

Since 2021, our university has launched the Overseas Technical Skills Training Base (Tunisia) initiative, partnering with the Université Libre de Tunis to establish a joint student training program. To date, over 200 Tunisian students have enrolled in vocational courses at our institution. In 2022, we joined the North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance as a governing member. Furthering our commitment, we collaborated with Moroccos Université Hassan I in April 2023 to establish a Chinese Language Testing Center , marking another milestone in our "Vocational Education Going Global" strategy.

At the symposium, our university received the Outstanding Organization Award from the North Africa International Education Innovation Alliance. Our Tunisia training base project was honored with the 2nd North Africa-China Vocational Education Innovation Cooperation Excellence Award and recognized as a "Chinese + Vocational Skills" Model Demonstration Program . Additionally, our institution was appointed to the Executive Committee of the 2nd North Africa-China Digital Innovation Skills Competition, with Ma Jun named as an expert committee member .

The event also featured the launch of the Hebei-North Africa International Industry-Education Integration Community , a dialogue session between Chinese and international guests, and performances of traditional Chinese cultural arts.
