Beijing | December 6, 2024 — Beijing Polytechnic University was recognized for outstanding international education standards at the 2024 "Study in Beijing" Summit and "Beijing Night" cultural gala, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission. Vice President Chen Jiangfeng accepted the city’s Certificate of Excellence in Higher Education Quality for International Students on behalf of the institution during the high-profile event at Beijing Foreign Studies University’s auditorium. Representatives from the BPU’s teacher and international student ambassadors attended the ceremony.
The accolade follows a yearlong quality evaluation process initiated in December 2023. Under the college leadership’s directive, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange coordinated with academic departments to systematically audit international teaching outcomes. After passing a preliminary online assessment in early 2024, the college underwent an April 2024 onsite review by a municipal expert panel.
Evaluators conducted classroom observations, document audits, leadership interviews, and focus groups with faculty and students, ultimately praising the institution’s "innovative integration of vocational training with global education frameworks." The certification—awarded through unanimous expert committee consensus—positions the college among Beijing’s top-tier institutions for international student development.
"This achievement validates our ‘high-quality, distinctive, and globally oriented’ vocational education model," said Vice President Chen. The college pledged to amplify efforts in curriculum innovation, cross-cultural competency training, and industry-aligned programming to strengthen Beijing’s reputation as an international education hub.
