South Korean University of Media Arts Delegation Visits Our University

On the morning of April 16, a three-member delegation from Korea University of Media Arts, led by the Director of Asian Programs from its Office of International Affairs, visited our university. Representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Art and Design received the delegation.


Both parties exchanged introductions about their respective institutional profiles and development plans. They engaged in in-depth discussions regarding faculty-student exchanges, joint talent cultivation, and cultural collaborations in art and design disciplines, reaching consensus on advancing vocational education cooperation between China and South Korea.

Prior to the talks, the delegation toured the practical training facilities of the School of Art and Design, gaining detailed insights into discipline-specific teaching practices and university-industry collaboration models.

Background Information:  

Established in 1991, Korea University of Media Arts (KUMA) is a vocational institution registered with South Korea's Ministry of Education and accredited by the China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange under the Ministry of Education. Recognized as a leading vocational university for film and media arts education in South Korea, KUMA has been consecutively honored as the nation's "Best Media University" and designated as a specialized institution in broadcasting, visual arts, and information technology. It offers programs including Visual Design, Sound Production, Cinematography & Lighting, Film Editing, and Motion Picture Arts, enrolling over 3,000 students. Notable achievements include being selected as one of the seven most outstanding universities across all fields by South Korea's National Institute for International Education Evaluation.
