In the afternoon of June 12th, the school held the "China - Malaysia Vocational Education Forum" event. Dr. Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong, the president of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) in Malaysia, led a Malaysian delegation of more than 30 people to China to participate in the forum. Yao Guangye, the president of the school, and the leaders of five sister institutions in China attended the event.


Yao Guangye delivered a welcome speech, extending a warm welcome to the visiting Malaysian guests. He pointed out that this year coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, and a series of exchange activities will be held in various fields between the two countries. Malaysia is China's largest trading partner in ASEAN, and the two countries also have a good cooperation foundation in the field of vocational education. He hoped that today's meeting could open a new chapter in the vocational education cooperation between China and Malaysia.

Wee Ka Siong said that the holding of the "China - Malaysia Vocational Education Forum" event is of great significance on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The United Malays National Organisation in Malaysia will act as a bridge and provide full support for the educational cooperation between China and Malaysia.

Subsequently, three foreign institutions including Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology in Malaysia and six Chinese institutions including Beijing Polytechnic University made introductions about their school - running situations. Through the exchanges, both sides further understood each other's school - running advantages and looked for cooperation opportunities.
At the end of the forum, Chinese institutions and Malaysian institutions signed a cooperation framework agreement.

Before the start of the forum, the school invited the Chinese and foreign guests to visit the training bases of the School of Art and Design, the School of Aeronautical Engineering, and the School of Automotive Engineering.
